- Ensure feedback is delivered within the 20-day deadline and is beneficial across all courses.
- Ensure that all students receive the same standard of education regardless of background, race and ethnicity, and aim to reduce the attainment gap by targeting and resolving underlying causes.
- Improve and implement assessment strategies which are practical and improve employability.
- Introduce more academic study skills workshops to better equip students to enhance their academic achievements.
- Work with academic department heads to focus on student-led curriculum adopting previous and current feedback to improve the learning experience.
- Make it easier to get extensions and simplify the additional considerations process.
- Improve quality of lecture recordings.
How would you work with Course Representatives to improve academic experience at course level?
- Hold structured monthly meetings with Course Reps to freely discuss problems and find solutions.
- Provide a forum where Course Reps and course staff can discuss directly with course leaders about arising issues.
- Encourage involvement by issuing awards such as, "Most Valued Course Rep" to recognise and celebrate outstanding Course Rep efforts to inspire and motivate them creating a positive effect in academic achievements.
- Take on feedback to understand how students feel about their course and collaborate with academic heads and course leaders to improve teaching methods and course structure based on feedback.
- Organise and provide workshops for Course Reps to further develop transferable skills such as; communication, organisation, time management and public speaking etc.
