Raise and Give (RAG) is a branch of the BSU that aims to support students in raising money for charity. Our activities team will organise events throughout the year, as well as support student societies in their fundraising efforts. The Students’ Union can provide you with guidance to ensure that whatever you do, it is successful, legal, and ethical. Students can partner with local, or national charities and volunteer, or undertake traditional fundraising activities. This could include:

– Bake sales.

– Sporting events

– Sponsored challenges

– Talent shows.

– Socials

CASH FUNDRAISING

Thinking of fundraising for cash? You will need to ensure that you have charity buckets. For any cash raised, please present the bucket (sealed) to the Students’ Union who will count and confirm the amount raised.

 

ONLINE FUNDRAISING

Many groups and individuals prefer to use online sources for fundraising. Websites such as JustGiving or GoFundMe are great ways to broaden the accessibility of your fundraising efforts. Websites are great as you can set your goals, monitor donations, and keep your donors updated and celebrate milestones as you reach them.
