How would you defend academic quality?

Expand Lecture Recording Access – Ensure all lectures are recorded and accessible to all students, improving inclusivity and revision support.
Ensure Timely & Consistent Feedback – Push for clear marking criteria and feedback to be returned within the 20-day policy across all schools.
Fairer Assessments – Advocate for diverse assessment methods, including practical, real-world projects, rather than over-reliance on essays/exams.
Strengthen Course Rep System – Improve training and visibility so reps can effectively raise student concerns.
End Hidden Course Costs – Ensure students know all course-related expenses upfront and secure free access to essential textbooks/software.
Link Education to Employability – Push for more paid internships and industry collaborations with locals so students gain practical experience before graduating.

How would you work with Course Representatives and Super Representatives to improve academic experience?

Increase Visibility of Reps – Ensure every student knows who their Course Rep is through emails, posters, and a centralised online directory.
Regular Course Rep Forums – Host monthly feedback sessions where Reps can raise academic concerns directly to the Students’ Union and university leadership.
Better Training & Support – Provide structured training to ensure Reps understand university policies, know how to escalate issues, and can confidently represent students.
Stronger Collaboration Between Course & Super Reps – Create a direct communication channel between Course Reps and Super Reps to ensure concerns are escalated efficiently.
Ensure Real Impact – Push for mandatory university responses to key issues raised by Reps so students see tangible improvements.
