Overview

We are hosting a special event on Friday 6th December for Global Challenges Week, focusing on disadvantaged LGBTQ Communities, and those at risk - and how to help those in need. We will cover this locally, nationally, and internationally. This will also serve as a safe space for people to talk about any political issues they feel are relevant, and how we can aim to resolve them - alongside a prequel to our LGBTQ History Month events.

Examples of topics covered include:

  • The UK Government's HRT Ban
  • Trump's Project 2025 and the Ramifications of Trump's Election Result
  • LGBTQ Refugees, and ways to support them

As such, we're choosing to issue the following trigger warnings:

  • There will be descriptions of violence, and aggravation, with potential violent deaths.
  • There will be sensitive topics discussed (forced detransitioning, suicide, and potentially more).

Activities will include a question & answer session where you can ask any questions about the community - and feel free to partake in the discussion. It's not a lecture, or a seminar, it's a discussion.
