Important Update: Transition to Digital Visas for International Students and Residents

Brighton Students' Union wants to make you aware of an important upcoming change regarding visa documentation in the UK. From 31 December 2024, physical visas and permits such as Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs) and Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs) will no longer be valid. The UK Home Office is transitioning to a fully digital e-visa system. This digital system will become the new method for proving your immigration status.

We understand that this change may raise questions. While Brighton Students’ Union cannot provide visa advice, we can signpost you to resources that explain what this change means and how to prepare.
